The Senator's Vote

"Thanks, James," we said together. I smiled at Keith.

"We've kept surveillance on the house. No is has been watching it and there have been no new developments, so hopefully this will go smoothly without too much trouble. This is Agent Eric Presley. He is going to be the Senator's fill in."

"Do you have any field experience?" Keith asked.

"No," Agent Presley said, I noticed his hands shake before he stuck them in his jacket pockets.

"Don't worry Agent Shepard and I will handle everything, we just need the illusion that the Senator is there," I said trying to reassure him. The last thing we need is a nervous rookie. He could scared and blow our cover. "They are very good at what they do, you're in good hands, Eric," James said.

Jeff brought Michael out in cuffs. "Pete and I will meet you there. We'll have SWAT ready. Good luck."

"Good luck, to you too. Let's do this," Keith said. I fell in pace beside him as he took Michael by the arm and headed to the elevator and then down to the parking lot to the CTC issued black SUV. I opened the door and sat Michael in the back seat. It was easy to see that Agent Presley was uncomfortable as he sat to the far right of Michael pressed against the door. Keith was going to drive so I went around to the passenger's side and got in. Keith put his sunglasses on and started the car.

We drove out of the parking lot and took a left, driving until we hit Connecticut Ave. It was a long drive but scenic. Since we weren't alone, Keith and I settled with holding hands and making small talk. My phone rang and I smiled when I saw Melissa's number pop up.

"Hey, sis."

"Still working?"

"We had a break for rest, but yeah we are just about to go on a mission," I said. This is the hardest part of the job, not even being able to tell my sister what's going on. I love that Keith and I work together, we can talk and tell each things we can't tell anyone else. "Well, don't worry the park is being set up as we speak. Mom and Bridget have the caters baking away and the flowers are just arriving."

"Thanks, we'll be there as soon as we can."

"Am I going to have to stall?"

"Maybe, what did you have in mind?"
