​ Sice businesses started closing their doots Maggie saw an increase in violent crimes. She called in the station's best reporter / cameraman the station always paired up to cover a sroey. She wanted them when they were out on a call to look around and report on any more business closures and if they had credible evidence to it to report on it also. Their next active shooter report was about a nail place. The manager had laid off their workers and didn't pay them.

Maggie was totally exhausted when she got home. Her reporting crew had mentioned so many out of business signs in store windows.

When they drove back to the station they saw a huge sign at the college announcing that they would be closing for good after the fall semester The story the college was telling was that the state had taken away their funding.Waterford was turning into a ghost town right in front of her eyes.She never thought that Waterford would be like that. She did wonder about her little city of Lexington. She prayed to God that wouldn't happen
