The Anthrax Scare

"We're here," Keith whispered.

I yawned and stretched then we got out of the SUV and walked back into CTC.

James met us as we walked in. He placed his hands on his hips "Good job. Another crisis has been averted thanks to you two. Now, you both have to debrief, Fred and Amy are waiting in the offices upstairs. Then you can go home and take the day off. You both earned it."

"Thanks," we both said.

We headed upstairs and spilt up as we went to be debriefed. Amy turned on the recorder and took notes as I told her everything that had happened from when we left CTC to apprehending Grey. She turned off the recorder and put the notepad down.

"Now, give me the good stuff," she said.

"Ames, I'm exhausted," I whined.

"Please?" She pouted.

I laughed. "Fine," I quickly told her about our first kiss and all the "good stuff" I had left out.

"Aww, he's so great and sweet! I'm really happy for you." She stood up and we hugged. "Now, go get some rest and call me later."

"I will."

I headed downstairs and grabbed my purse out the locker room. I put the gun, radio and PDA back in my locker, took off the flak jacket, and put Amy's coat back in her locker. I laughed silently when I realized she hadn't even noticed I was wearing it. I then headed to the parking lot. I began looking for my keys as I walked to my car. I was caught by surprise when Keith put his arms around me and kissed my neck.

I giggled as his scruff tickled my neck. "You almost scared me."

He chuckled. "Almost?"

"Mmm . . . I knew it was you as soon as you put your arms around me."

He grinned. "I couldn't leave without saying goodbye."

"I was hoping you wouldn't."

We walked to my car and I unlocked it. Dropping my purse on the passenger seat, I turned and kissed him. "See you tonight," I said.

"I'll pick you up at seven . . ." He said. I started to get in the car but he held me back. "Oh, wait where do you live?"

Duh. "That's an important detail isn't it?" I laughed and so did he. "I live in the Kelsey Garden Apartments off of 7th St. Do you know where that is?"

He nodded. "Yeah I do."

"Apartment 212 A, second floor."

"Got it. See you then." He kissed me and walked over to his truck, a gray Chevy Ford.

I got in my car, turned up the radio and started driving home.

"Now, its time to listen to late night hits to keep the party going or to keep you awake. It is 1:36 and here's Ty Herndon with It Must Be Love..."
