The Anthrax Scare

"As long as Amanda doesn't care, neither do I. I wanted to hit myself, for using such a derogatory term and he seemed as if he was about to strike you, Amanda. I suggest getting that restraining order like you said." James shook his head. "I had come to tell you two that Hayden and George left to pick up the Anthrax." A techie called out for James and he walked over to the station as he said: "Excuse me."

"I need to use the restroom," I hurried off before Keith could say anything. I entered the restroom, and leaned against the cool tile wall. I slowly sunk down and put my head in my lap.

I wanted to go at a punching bag, and release all the anger I had for Bryan. I also wanted to cry for letting myself be a part of such a horrible relationship. I really wanted to cry, because after that last spectacle I was sure Keith would want nothing to do with me. And why should he? I heard the door open and before I looked up I knew it was Amy.

"Sweetie?" She knelt down beside me.

"Ames, you were right about everything! Bryan's a two timing, lying, jerk and possibly a stalker! What am I going to do?"

"Forget about him, move on."

"I'm pretty sure he's ruined the one good chance I had of moving on. I'm surprised Keith hasn't gone running in the opposite direction yet. He's going to want nothing to do with me."

"Because of a screwed up relationship? Everyone makes mistakes, sweetie. Keith knows that Bryan is the problem, if he didn't he wouldn't have knocked him out."

I smiled. "He hit him good didn't he?"

"He did, good thing too cause when I saw Bryan raise his hand I was going to go over there and kick his ass," she paused, "Keith really cares about you."

Tears welled up. "I really care about him; I've never felt this way. I've told him things I've only told you. You know how I always keep my distance and like to be strong?" She nodded. "Not with him. I've gotten close to him and turned to him more than once. I don't know how it happened so fast, but I've fallen for him, Ames. If he just wants to be friends after all that's happened, I'll be crushed."

"No chance of that, Mandy."

"Why?" I was confused as to how she knew he wouldn't want to be just friends.

"Because he's pacing outside." She grinned. "He's a keeper."

"What?" I jumped up.

"He saw me go in and told me he was worried about you."
