Spring Diary

Heena walks up to the gate and asks the gatekeeper if she could meet the principal Mr. Jalan. The gatekeeper replied "Do you have any appointment mam? Today is Sunday and sir don't allow visitors without prior appointment"

"Oh yes, I got this letter from the principal's office last Friday and I mailed a letter that I'll be reaching here today. If you inform that Ms. Heena Garg has come to meet him....."

The gatekeeper answered "Oh yes, sure. Please come in and fill up the entry copy while I inform sir of your coming"

After few minutes he says "Please come mam, and this is the way to the principal's office."

She answers with a smile "Thanks but no need for the direction. I was a student here back seven years." He nods his head and smiles back.

Nothing has changed! The same buildings, the same garden, the same maintainence of each block - she thought but is it so? The teachers may have changed, the principal himself and to be correct the students too have changed! A period of seven years isn't small. Her whole life has changed from the moment she entered the college and when she left before final examinations.

She walks up to the principal's office and turn the knob of the door and peeps inside "May I come in sir?"
