“You are to ask the spirits to be your teachers and be glad as they fulfill their parts in your learning.”

“That little animal is so funny. I somehow hear it. Grandma, this is so much fun. Can we go further into the meadows? Can I tell you again about that dream I had last night again? I see, grandma, I see. I can spend more time here now.”

“I am so grateful to you my loving grandmother for being such a good teacher to me,” Kaori stated.

There were times when Kiki who is Kaori’s younger brother joined them. There were also times when Ibuki brought other children to have experiences that Kaori was having.

When Kaori reached the age of twelve, Ibuki the grandmother of Kaori made her transition. The loss of her grandmother brought about great pain to Kaori. This was the first time she had experienced such loss. Her mother and father told Kaori of the coming death of her grandmother; however Kaori did not really understand death at twelve years of age.

Kaori did nothing but cry for several days after the loss of her grandmother. Her grandmother had lived a long and prosperous life. This was the first such experience by Kaori, losing a close relative through transition.

People came from far away to let the family know that they appreciated the presence of Ibuki in their times of need.
