Passion Power and Peace

Imagine that the leaders of the country were leaders in prayer without religious dogma. An entire village and neighboring villages were aware of Kaori and her legend was growing while she and her husband were very young.

“Any talent that you may have developed, learn to give this to the gods who will then return this talent to you with additional power and joy. You give to the gods by giving to others. You then find that you have more to give,” said Yousho.

The most obvious connection that both Kaori and Yousho were exhibiting was a connection to the animal kingdom and nature. They seemed able to have animals come to them at will. On one occasion, bear caught four fish in the river and brought them to Kaori. He then went back into the water and caught more for his uses.

Every five days there was a particular prayer service lead by either Kaori, Yousho, or some other member of the education group. Only one who has an appreciation of the strength of tribal dances and chanting would understand that these seeming primitive activities were powerful methods of accessing the spirit world.

Services were usually done in the morning and later in the evenings. Some of the services were loud and physically very active with the dances and singing. The participants learned to lose themselves to these activities.
