One Night with a Billionaire
Page 58He stilled. “You’re really going to start that again? After what we just had? After you begged me to put my mouth on you?” He grabbed a fistful of her skirt. “You want me to show you again just how much there’s a you and me? Because I’m quite willing to plant my face between your thighs again and not come up until dawn.”
She had to clench her thighs together to keep from shivering at the thought. Instead, she jerked her skirt out of his hands. “Stop it.”
“Or what?” His mouth was harder than she’d ever seen it before. “You’ll break up with me? You’re already trying to ditch me. Your threats hold no weight. But I’m tired of trying to be nice and play by the rules with you, Kylie. I tried to give you space. Except the more space I give you, the further you push me away. So I’m not giving you space any longer. I’m taking space from you.”
Oh no. “What are you talking about?”
His smile was cold. “Apparently I only get my way with you if I’m a bastard. So I guess I’ll be a bastard.” He leaned in. “You’re going to finish work tonight, and then you’re coming home. With me. And we’re going to fuck until dawn and I’m going to make you come a dozen times, and then we’re going to sleep in the same bed like a married couple does.”
“No.”
“You don’t get to tell me no anymore, Kylie. I want you. And if I want something, I get it.”
“Really?” she retorted. “You didn’t get Daphne.”
“I didn’t mean that,” she amended swiftly.
“You did,” he told her, and his mouth flashed in a brief smile again. “Here’s the thing, though. Maybe I’m starting to realize I didn’t want Daphne half as much as I thought I did, because the thought of her brushing me off doesn’t bother me. The thought of you brushing me off makes me go crazy.” His gaze raked over her, and she felt scorched. “So. Tonight, you work. Then we leave together.”
“Absolutely not.”
He shrugged. “Then I go out and announce to everyone that we’re fucking. You think I care if Daphne gets mad at me? More than that, you think Daph will be mad at me or at you?”
She knew the answer to that. “That is so freaking unfair.”
“It is. And I don’t even care.” He grinned. “And it’s going to work, isn’t it? Because one of us cares very much if this information gets out, and one of us does not.”
Helpless, Kylie could do nothing but glare at him.
She was fast running out of options. “Daphne will see—”
“No.” His thumb ran over her lower lip again. “She won’t. She only sees what she wants to see, and I’ll play nice until we’re alone.”
Until they were alone? She shivered. “And then what?”
“And then I’m going to fuck my wife,” he murmured. “And I’m not going to rest until she’s screaming my name.”
“And if your wife says no?”
“She won’t,” he said softly, and he moved in to kiss her. And she should have moved away from him, but instead, she turned her mouth up to his for his kiss.
“How do you know she won’t protest?”
And she was unable to help the soft moan that escaped her. The mental picture of that was too damn delicious. “Just one night,” Kylie murmured.
“Just one,” Cade agreed.

Kylie had to go back to work with her panties missing. It was an incredible distraction, because her skirt wasn’t tight. Every time someone walked past, she clutched at the hem in fear it’d blow up and show that she was completely bare to her waist. She stood up and repaired her hair and makeup in her mirror, trying to hide the puffiness of her lips. She sprayed perfume and dabbed it at her pulse points so no one would smell the musky scent of sex on her.
Mostly? She fidgeted.
Cade sat on the greenroom couch that was dragged along to every one of Daphne’s shows. True to his word, he paid not the slightest bit of attention to Kylie. Instead, he focused on his phone and sipped a whiskey he’d gotten from the bar.
