Living With a Temperamental Adonis: 99 Proclamations of Love
Page 920On the way to the carpark, Song Qingchun and Su Zhinian walked along a newly built street by ACR. The shop windows along the street were glittering with neon lights, and the trees that lined both side of the streets were strung with fairy lights, lending the place a fairy-tale look.
Song Qingchun, who had been communicating with Su Zhinian via his superpower, finally stopped. She was still coming down from the excitement of the shopping spree as her merry tone bore witness to. “Su Zhinian, why did you buy so many things for me today?”
But you’re the one who asked for them… Su Zhinian glanced at Song Qingchun speechlessly, but he didn’t voice his inner complaint.
Song Qingchun noted the mocking gaze from Su Zhinian but wasn’t angered. If anything, she hugged his arm tighter, and her smile bloomed even brighter. Continuing in her shameless tone, she uttered, “…Do you know how shy I was with all those people looking at me?”
Why didn’t I notice that? Su Zhinian gave Song Qingchun another side-eye. His lips twitched imperceptibly, and he looked at her like a headmaster looking at an unruly student.
Song Qingchun pouted stubbornly at him before smiling brightly. As she reminisced over the wonderful afternoon, she said, “Su Zhinian, aren’t I amazing? I didn’t utter a single word, but you managed to understand me fully and clearly!”
Wait, what?! Isn’t that because of me? Su Zhinian scoffed with disbelief as he turned his face away from her, ignoring her.
Song Qingchun grumbled with dissatisfaction, “Su Zhinian, I know you’re being envious of me, jealous that I have such a wonderful boyfriend but you don’t.”
Jealous? Why would I be jealous of myself? Su Zhinian gave another scoff and turned his face further away.
Song Qingchun mimicked Su Zhinian’s scoff, and as she did so, Su Zhinian suddenly called her name like he just remembered something. “Tingting?”
“Hmm?” Song Qingchun raised her head unconsciously to look at him.
“There’s something even more amazing, do you want to try?”
Song Qingchun blinked innocently, unable to follow Su Zhinian’s meaning. “What do you mean?”
Su Zhinian didn’t answer. He looked at her quietly for a moment. The next second, the girl was controlled to slowly close her eyes. Then, he released her hand and took two steps back before turning to dash away.
…
After about half a second, Song Qingchun’s long lashes flickered slightly, and her eyes flitted open. Su Zhinian, who was standing beside her, had disappeared, and she felt a bit disorientated, like someone had muddled with her memory. This was all too familiar, so familiar that she was certain Su Zhinian had just mind-controlled her.
People walked up and down the street. Song Qingchun turned her body around to search for Su Zhinian as she mocked him on her lips. Suddenly, a pretty young girl approached her and smiled genially at her, adding, “Song Qingchun, I wish you feel good every day.”
