"That's cool, but what's next, is there any news on the next assignment," he asked as he ever so slightly scooted closer to the young brunette.

"What are you doing?" she questioned.

"What…nothing."

"Yeah right!"

"What?"

"Nothing posted just yet, it's only telling us to stand by," she told him as she rolled over on her back giving her an even greater distance from him as he sat beside her on the mattress. "So we have time to kill…so to speak it looks like."

"Well yeah, looks that way," he said with that all too recognizable dirty look on his face that usually got her into trouble.

"So tell me, what the hell is a current CIA agent doing in this dirty game anyway?" Aurora inquired as she rolled one full revolution further from her companion adding even more of a void between them.

"Need I even say?"

"Yeah give it a go. Why would you risk your career as a professional operative with the CIA to join some half ass internet based game made up of nothing more than rag tag fucked up hit men? Most of who are nothing more than disgraced cops like Tom Crow and Jody Richman or miss placed CIA or KGB agents like myself and Ivan The Big Russian. Even that scumbag Jimmy Vegas belongs in this bullshit game but you….it doesn't make any sense for you to be here, not at all," she said in a clear tone void of any facial expression.

"Yeah sure, I am taking a big chance doing this I know," he said matching her manner of speech, "But I'm doing this just like the rest of you, for the money," he added lowering his head as though ashamed of his actions.

"Stryker, you get compensated very well from the CIA, I know that for a damn fact. Remember I was one of their operatives too. We didn't hurt for money," she said rolling onto her side so she could look him in the eye.

"Yes I do well….very well in fact but it's not for me."

"Oh God Stryker, did you finally get some poor girl knocked up?"

"No….ah no!" he said as his voice pitched a little higher. "It's for my little sister Tessa," Stryker said as his tone once again returned to a deeper pitch much in the vein of his normal speaking voice.

"Tessa, oh your sister in the wheelchair…yeah I remember," Aurora replied softening her tone.

"Yes, well she's going to need more surgery and she's not covered under my healthcare, even though I work and have dedicated my whole life to our government," he said in a depressing monotone.
