Kill Fest
Page 106"Yeah that much I know…..go on."
"Five people were selected to participate in what was being called Kill Fest. I game, a contest of assassin skills. The question was…..who was the better killer and it play on every ones egos. You five were picked because of your lack of commitment to any law enforcement agency. Two disgraced cops, one former KGB agent, one former CIA and one card shark who plays hit man when it suited him. There was to be another, his name was John Pope former DEA agent like you, Crow and Richman who fell off the beaten path and went underground as hired guns."
"Go on, I'm listening."
"Can you take the gun away now or at the very least set the hammer back so it doesn't go off unexpected."
"Just talk Stryker, just talk."
Taking a deep breath Stryker continued. "Pope was to be the sixed player in Kill Fest when the CIA caught wind of that one of its ex-operatives was being recruited into this insane completion. That operative was you Aurora."
"The CIA was watching me, they still had surveillance over me?"
"Of course, you were one of their top agents Aurora."
"You mean, I was one of their top murderers."
"Pope was out of control as a freelance hit man, he was gunning for some high stakes people in Washington when the order came from the top to take him out. Our agents removed him from the equation a full week before the players of Kill Fest displayed. When your name came up in their database of a possible players, the CIA started to see who else may had connections to the event. When they saw Pope's name and already knew he was dead, a replacement was sent in."
"You Stryker?"
"Yeah me. They knew you and I worked together in the past, that you were part of my unit so assuming you wouldn't shoot me on sight got me added into the game."
"What to like watch over me, make me part of some kind of mission?"
"No, you're not part of the mission but they knew that if I were part of the game that you would be more inclined to maybe assist me in bringing down the man running all this."
"You mean Fat Daddy?"
"Yes, the man behind this insane game of slaughter"
"How does Fat Daddy fit into all this?" Aurora questioned as she lowered her weapon ever so slightly.
"Thank you," Stryker told her watching her weapon become less of a threat.
"Just go on with the story before I change my mind," she said never taking her eyes off him.
