Honeysuckles of the South

The Mercedes pulled in the driveway of Georgianna mansion. The chauffeurs began to open and close car doors. Georgianna's servants proceeded to put her luggage in the truck of the card.

The landing pad for the jet is only a short distance away from her mansion.

Georgianna gets out of the car and speaks to the pilot. The entire luggage is loaded on the jet.

She boards the jet and takes her seat. Vedella in her loud voice is telling her friends how she really needed this trip. The ladies shout amen.

"Winola, I'm so glad you made the trip. We would have missed you." Vedella stated happily.

"Darling, I had to take a break from that case. It was kicking my ass." Winola replied.

"Is everyone ready for next Saturday? Dixie asked.

"Yes." Everyone answered.

Once a month on a Saturday the ladies rotate their homes to have a cook fest. They do all the cooking themselves. Everything is made from scratch. Then they invite family and friends to enjoy their home cooked meals.

"How's Copper? Dixie asked Jannie.

"Honey, his thread is getting a little thin. He's complaining about not having enough time with each other. I evaded him today by not telling him about this trip. I was going to mention it, but he told me he had a meeting. So, I narrowly escape. I won't talk to him until I get back from this trip. I think I will invite him to the cook fest. I just thought about that." Jannie responded.

"Well darling, you had to do what you had to do. I told Melvin that it was over. He agreed and didn't flinch. I think he already had someone else in line. I'm thankful." Georgianna remarked.

"I have to get me a man with the charisma of Spellman." Dixie replied.

"I'll take seconds on that." Vedella remarked.

"Ladies, I was fortunate to find Spellman." Winola stated.

"It's time for another toast to this trip." Georgianna replied.

All the ladies raised their glasses.

"Jannie Marie darling, don't have us in the stores for hours. I know when you get started there no slowing you down." Vedella stated.

"Stop it honey. I promise to behave." Jannie Marie answered with a laugh.

"I have to check out the Historical Society while I'm here ladies." Dixie replied.

"I must enjoy a visit to a couple of the art galleries." Georgianna stated.

"I'm going to enjoy and follow you ladies this weekend." Winola replied.
