Dantalion of the Goetia: The Summoning

"Tis the hour… the passing of two ages. We sacrifice blood to call upon and summon the Four great Kings of Hell. They are to call upon the Holy Guardian Angel after the eighteen month purification. What say you?" Dantalion commanded the demons.

Satan, Belial, Lucifer and Leviathan looked puzzled. Knowing they had not met the eighteen month purification, they still held me as prisoner, and could use Rowan's half-demon immortal blood as the back up wager. I stayed with Rowan and the army of demons, waiting for Dantalion to give me a sign. I felt the brands scorching me again and wanted to get as far away from all of them as I possibly could.

"The Holy Guardian Angel appears before us. What cause do we have to call upon him now? The girl is still our prisoner," Leviathan spoke on behalf of his brothers.

"Aye, but ye must pass the trials set before you. Belial and Satan have failed. The second heaven has renounced its faith. Both of you must, without leaving the Southern Realm, show the entire angelic third heaven that the mortal dominion bends to your will. You have two nights," "We will complete the task in one," Lucifer and Leviathan growled at Dantalion. "The end of days are near."

We left them, shape-shifting before our powers were depleted, into fire and ice of the mortal realm.

"We cannot leave here to do our bidding," Leviathan howled, collecting blood pooling at the base of the cavern walls, extinguishing fire from his burning lips. "The taste of war wages near."

"Tis true brother, we cannot leave the Southern Realm during the trials, but we can bend the will of mortals to us here…test their loyalty of the Brotherhood," Lucifer announced defiantly. 'We told our initiates we would resume in eighteen months at The Tomb. What better test of loyalty than to summon them here in Hell."

Belial and Satan nodded in agreement, their red eyes slanting admirably at the brilliance of their newly conspired plan.

"While you devise your loyalties with the initiates, we will use our powers to taunt the will of men. The Angel of Death will have many to claim once we complete our task," Satan toasted the new Order of the Brotherhood, drinking blood from his clawed hands.
