Dantalion of the Goetia: The Summoning

An outpour of howls and protests filtered through the Great Room.

"Remember the six sigils whose names were marked for redemption…our brethren demons of the Goetia who now walk as men," Rowan reminded them.

"You mean four. Remember only Druitte, Halphas, Vine and Sitri walk as men. Duke Dantalion is Holy Guardian… ascended to the third heaven," Andromalius sneered. "And you… now his replacement, are condemned here among us."

"Right. Well, I got myself into this. We must swear our allegiance to Dantalion. He released the others, he will cut us free as well. What say you?"

A moment passed as Rowan eyed the demons, and when he heard the words, "Aye!" unanimously echo through the room, he knew they would remain loyal to Dantalion.

"I will summon the 'Succubus' Gwynnedd. She now pays allegiance to me alone," Rowan confided.

"My Lord, Dantalion warned you of her nature?" Levi questioned Rowan.

"Yea… I've seen her bring down the fall of the best of demons… twice. I know what I'm up against."

Back at Dantalion's chamber, Rowan remembered all the things Dantalion had told him before he ascended as Guardian Angel. Like how his immortal blood was what every demon seeks and how it would serve him well when summoning the 'Succubus' Gwynnedd. He had to keep her contained in the medallion or she would shape shift into her original serpent form, returning to her chamber in the Realm of Goetia. Rowan would have to summon her cleverly and cautiously. Levi knocked on the door.

"My Lord, a word with you?"

"Yea…come in.."

"I'm sure Lord Dantalion told you Gwynnedd was the keeper of secrets?"

"I know…"

"Her exile here at the Realm of Goetia has been revealed. One of our brethren demons enlightened me and I felt you should know this. Gwynnedd fell in love with Samael, a fallen angel…the Angel of Death, a seducer both good and evil. He promised her eternal beauty. Satan also loved her for her beauty and found out about her love for Samael. He became jealous, poisoning her soul and cursing her for all eternity as a serpent 'succubus', exiling her at the Realm of Goetia so he would always be able to find her. Be warned, she may owe her allegiance to you, but Satan may still control her heart."

"I know once she serves her purpose, the crazy demon is going back in the medallion…. I saw what she did to Laurel…how she injected her with venom and changed her into a demon….that's how I got myself into this mess… I thought Dantalion had Laurel chained to the altar but it was really the 'Succubus'…so I had no choice… either live as a demon or die…"
