Blacke Harbor
My name is Erik Sokoloff and I am a vampire.
There, I said it. I know what you’re thinking. Vampires live in B-movies and bad novels. Well, I’m not that kind of vampire. I am not afraid of crucifixes or old men in robes. Or garlic or magic water.
And I sure as hell don’t sparkle in the sun.
What I have, they tell me, is an infection. That’s why I’ve come to the sleepy little fishing village of Blacke Harbor. Doctors Catherine and Jurgis Blacke say they can cure me of the infection that turned me into a monster and forced me to live in darkness. I hope they’re right. I’ve been a vampire for a hundred years. I’m tired. I want something more. I need something more.
They say people can change. I don’t know if I can change but I have to try one last time. I can’t live like this anymore. I want my life back. My dull, normal life. My mortal life.
My name is Erik and this is my story.
