Agent for a Cause

She finished her voice full of frustration and passion. Such passion could be dangerous.

"So armed with this information that you've gathered what have you been doing?" I asked already knowing in some ways what her answer would be.

"After it was clear that the MMR shot was the reason for Kevin's fall into autism I gained support from his doctor. The doctor was sympathetic and virtually clueless as to the effects of the vaccines he administered on a daily basis. He helped me get the testing done to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the MMR shot was the cause of blame behind Kevin's autism. At that time I was still so uneducated about everything. I thought if I sued I could get enough money to get Kevin the treatment he needed so that he could be himself again. I was wrong on two accounts. For one there is no treatment for recovering from autism, there's only treatment for managing the effects of it and helping those affected manage it better like with the use of gluten free food and food without pesticides and preservatives."

She stopped and I saw bitterness wash throughout her face such as I would never have believed possible.

"What else were you wrong about?" I asked cautiously concerned over the level of apathy I saw in her eyes.

She met my gaze and said flatly, "You can't sue the makers of vaccinations even though their private companies."

"Why?" I asked genuinely shocked and puzzled by such an obvious oversight.

"Because in true conspiracy fashion the federal government has mandated that companies providing vaccinations of any kind are completely not liable for any damages that their products result in doing. It's impossible to sue a vaccination company as a matter of federal law."

"That's crazy! Every private company's liable for the integrity of the products and services they provide to us!" I exclaimed.

She just shook her head no, "There protected against everything. They have no oversight over them whatsoever. They could fill the syringes with IV solution and no one could say anything about it or much less know that it was even happening. In fact I wish they would do just that."

"But they pay out huge sums of money all the time! I've read about it." I said.

She nodded, "The vaccination companies have a one billion dollar plus fund that they pay out of. The payouts are entirely voluntary on their part and amount to little more than a publicity stunt to curry public favor and hush up the victim's families."

"Did they offer you money?"

She nodded, "107 million dollars."
