A Walk on the Water

Alannah's father was flown from ship to shore in a very short time, the pilot escorted him to the Chateau. As he reached the front door, the door flew open and Dominic stood there looking regal and in charge.
"Can I help you?" Dominic said
"Perhaps you can, my name is General Harry Ferguson, I am looking for my daughter Alannah and her husband."
"I am her husband, Dominic Beringer. I am afraid Alannah has been kidnapped."
"KIDNAPPED??"
"Please Mr. Ferguson come inside so we can talk, there is much to discuss."
Dominic brought Alahhah's father into the main sitting room, there he was greeted by Dominic's friends and family, as well as the brothers that had been exiled from their homeland. The group sat around for hours, discussing Alannah and her situation.
"Jakob and Erik have been here to assist in keeping Alannah safe from whomever was trying to harm her. We later found out that it was Eraldo, Erik's twin who was the one after Alannah. Mr. Ferguson, I love your daughter very much, perhaps more than I could have ever expected to love anyone or anything. She has changed my life, I know that you had other plans for her, but she is now an adult and can make decisions for herself. She has told us all the stories of physical harm that she has suffered at your hands. Please allow me to introduce Captain Martinez, he is the Port Authority police chief on this island. Make no claim against Alannah and Captain Martinez here will leave you to your own vices, continue to lay claim against her and try to take her and our child away from me, and there will be hell to pay."
"Alannah is with child?"
"She is, she is two months along, and if the baby survives whatever her captors are doing to her then in seven months you will be a Grandfather. They say that babies can change you."
"That is what they say. I will assist you in finding Alannah, I will dispatch my most trusted men to go with yours and search the island. My men may not know it like yours but they are trained to find her."
"Great thank you for your assistance." General Ferguson stayed in Alannah's old room that night, and the next morning the group once again set out to find her. Dominic took half the party to the other side of the island, the side less traveled. Dominic had a bad feeling about how easily Alannah's father offered to help.
As they were searching, an explosion sounded towards town, and at that moment Dominic knew he had been betrayed.
